Dr. Muhammad Moaaz Arif is a medical doctor from Pakistan with specialized training in psychiatry. He currently serves as a Medical Officer in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Faisalabad Medical University. His clinical duties include overseeing male, female, and addiction inpatient units, as well as conducting forensic psychiatric assessments. As an administrative registrar, he organizes academic seminars and professional development events. He has completed multiple national and international certified trainings in addiction medicine and psychiatry.

Dr. Moaaz’s work centers on the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with substance use disorders. He co-owns and operates Rehab Home, a residential facility offering integrated psychiatric and addiction care, including subsidized treatment for underprivileged patients. He also serves as Vice President of Anjuman Insdad Munshiat, an NGO that provides financial support, treatment access, and occupational rehabilitation to individuals and families affected by substance use.

Through the Humphrey Fellowship, Dr. Moaaz aims to deepen his expertise in substance use prevention, treatment systems, and policy advocacy. His goals include designing community-based interventions, implementing digital tools for treatment monitoring, and strengthening leadership strategies to expand evidence-based psychiatric services in Pakistan.
