Orion Jucja
Albania
Mr. Orion Jucja, from Tirana, Albania, is a pharmacist and health policy expert. He received his master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2018 from the University of Medicine in Tirana. He holds two additional master’s degrees from the University of Camerino in Italy, specializing in dermatologic products. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology.
In 2019, Mr. Jucja joined the Pharmacists Order of Albania as a specialist in professional supervision, improving pharmacy practices and regulatory compliance. Since 2022, he has gained experience in regulatory, pharmacoeconomic, and scientific roles in the pharmaceutical industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a vital role in the national vaccination program, leading awareness campaigns to share scientific information about vaccines and public health. Mr. Jucja has also led public health initiatives with the WHO, the International Pharmaceutical Federation, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, and the Albanian Institute of Public Health.
During his fellowship, Mr. Jucja plans to focus on enhancing the quality and accessibility of medicines, improving support for cancer patients, and advocating for pharmacy regulatory reforms. He aims to develop skills in policy formulation and analysis, project management, and gain international experience.
